Servicing & New Prices

If you are looking for a good watchmaker who understands a budget and tries to keep costs down, and pass those savings on to the customer,  you have come to the right place. I understand from my collecting years and trying to find a good watchmaker, that there had to be an equal balance between having a watch serviced  with good quality control and paying a price for someones time, that is what I was looking for then, and that is where I come in now.  I do not have a store front and all sales and services are done online or picked up and drop off in the Toronto area, so that savings is passed on to the customer along with an affordable rate per hour for services. My workshop is not open to the public. Please feel free to contact me regarding a service cost and the process in getting your watch serviced.

I service a number of different types of movements from

  • Crystal changes $35 and up

  • Battery $20 and up

  • Manual wind  $295 and up

  • Automatic  $425 and up

  • Chronographs $495and up

  • Pocket Watches $300 and up

  • Triple Dates  please call

  • Alarm Watches please call

  • Quartz $200 and up

All servicing requires an estimate for exact pricing. An estimate fee of only $50 cdn will be charged for my time, if you do not decide to proceed with the service.

I am an independent watchmaker and not affiliated with Rolex or any other watch company or brand. Please contact me for pricing.

Servicing Procedure

For those who would like to know a little more about how their watch is handled and serviced, please read below.

When a watch is serviced by me, it is not only disassembled, inspected, cleaned, repaired, reassembled, and oiled, it is regulated and may also be adjusted to several positions using dynamic poising depending on the watch at an extra cost.

The movement will receive two cleanings. The watch will first be disassembled and all parts quickly inspected, then the first pre-clean will be done to allow for proper inspection of jewels, end shake and the divisions and workings of the escapement. The watch will then be disassembled again, inspected and cleaned, then reassembled.

The oiling and lubricating is the next step, and is done to high standards, not too much oil, not too little, the right amount and also in the correct areas. Some pieces may need to go threw a longer restoration, like end shake adjustments, screw heads polishing, rust removal, reapplying of graining to parts, black polishing and adjusting pallet stones for amplitude, all at an extra cost. I also service quartz watches.

I work to very high standards when it comes to maintaining tools, a very clean work area, movement cleanliness, maintaining originality, oiling, restoring and timing. I do not do any authentication or valuations.
